Making Money Online are Simple
1. Have a goal in mind, think of what it is you’re even doing any of this for. If you can’t think of something good, internet business is probably not for you.
2. Make a “Now and Then” chart. List what things you have or don’t have NOW, then list what you want to have and want to do THEN. This is effective for keeping your goal within your boundaries and keeping you motivated. If you have this chart to remind you what all of your hard work is going towards, it will boost your morale and make you WANT to do it more!
3. Archive your progress. Keeping track of your rate of growth is another great morale booster and will show your strong points and weak points. In fact, today (September 11, 2007) I reached 100 visitors in 1 day! This is a milestone for me and is pushing me to strive for more!
4. Don’t be greedy. I know it seems like common knowledge and morals, but greed will sink you into a pit of despair if you let it infect your mind. Sure, you’re here to learn how to make money and you want to make a lot to live out your dreams, but making money for the sake of having more money is greedy and will destroy you. If you are worrying too much on how much money you want to make, how will you focus on actually making the money?
5. Analyze your archives. Since you’ve chronicled all of your progress (Step 3) you now need to see what you’ve done correctly and what needs some work. For example you might see that you’re getting tons of traffic, but low sales. This means you need to look into how you’re marketing your product and perhaps some changes you could make to increase sales, or whatever your goal is with your website. Contrarily, if you have a low amount of traffic and high sales, you should look into advertising programs, such as Google’s AdWords.
6. Research. Let’s say you’ve completed step 5 and you’re doing pretty well. What must you do now? This question has boggled many other internet marketers for years, but the answer is quite simple. You have to look into new ways to even further improve your website and/or business. Technology and web business is growing constantly and at an alarmingly fast rate. You must adapt to the market! If the techniques you used for 2 years are starting to not work, you must search for new methods and repeat each of these steps with each technique.
7. Reward Yourself. I know this one is a big “Duh!” but it is important. If you take all of your earnings and reinvest them in your website, you will become frustrated, your morale will drop, and thus your efficiency and will to succeed will be gone.
8. Repeat, always repeat. Consider steps 1-7 lathering and rinsing. You know what’s next, correct? Why have one website that is earning money when you could now easily start another and double your income? Once you’ve established your first website and your first source of residual income, you should use your new knowledge and experience to repeat the process! Of course, if you’re fine with keeping your one money maker and sticking to it, that too is perfectly fine, just make sure you keep working with it.
