Offline advertising, How to promote your online business offline

How To Promote Your Online Business Offline.

There are a number of great ways to promote your online business offline. Combining offline advertising with your online presence will create momentum and increase your profits. There are a number of ways to promote your business offline.

Generate traffic. Produce sales. Increase profits.

Those words are gold to every business with a Web site. But an overwhelming majority of entrepreneurs don’t ever reach their goals of gold.

This is mainly because there seems to be an unwritten code of Web advertising. It states you can only be successful on the Internet if you are using online advertising methods like search engines, banner ads and buying online ad space. True, this should be a factor in any company’s marketing efforts but there’s an old rule of advertising you should
Consider… offline.

There are three main offline-advertising mediums worth investing in to drive people to your site. Print, television and radio ads are fairly inexpensive and have the power to promote your dot com presence effectively.

It’s cheaper and more effective than you think.

Newspaper advertising

Newspaper advertising is an easy way to get your message in front of a large audience. When placing these kind of ads you want to put them in the business opportunities or work at home section of the classifieds. If you are only going to run them one day a week focus on the Sunday edition as this normally has the highest circulation. If possible run the ad consistently as this will build some familiarity with the readers and will lead to better response. Be sure to find out the circulation and compare the cost with the circulation to find the best deals. I would also suggest you “test” a few different ads and keep track of the results of each. Here are some examples of ads I have run recently:

STOP reading classified ads make money from them instead… If they’re making money you can too:

For example:-

We recently signed up to the affiliate program at http://www.cashloopholes.com, They pay 50% commissions on their product. In the national exchange and mart it costs just £80 for a one week advert in the business opportunities section. There were other betting guides in there and they have been for a long time so I knew they were making money. This one guarantees to win, 100% of the time. None of the others can do that so we was one step ahead already by promoting such an exceptional product.

The ad read

FREE MONEY LOOPHOLE
If You Could GUARANTEE, With Absolute Certainty, The Outcome of an Event BEFORE You Placed a Bet… How Much Money Would You Invest?

As it’s in the business opportunity section this ad immediately captures the attention of the reader, it’s intriguing and causes the reader to want to know more

We placed the ad for 4 weeks and we set up an ad tracking service so we knew how well we were doing with it.

In all we received Approximately 500 hits a day and made on average about 10 sales a day. Do the maths and you will see how profitable offline advertising can be.

During the 4 week tester period we also had 46 people sign up as an affiliate under us earning us 15% of whatever sales they made.

I am not saying this is the only or best product to sell, This is what we first used when we first started advertising off-line and it paid of extremely well for us. We have increased the ad size now costing £290 a week but the increase in traffic makes up for the extra cost 10 fold. Its always good to start small and cheaply first though. Always test the market before ploughing all your advertising budget on it.

Lastly I would recommend trying at least three different papers with three different ad copies and expand from there as your budget allows.

Direct Mailing

put yourself in the shoes of your direct mail recipients. Avoid direct mail deadly mistakes or your materials will end up in the trash too.

Before you even begin to put your direct mail campaign together, you’ve got to know who your target market is. Are they women? Parents? Young? Old? Understand what motivates them. What are their likes and dislikes?

Write as if you’re talking to them. And even use terms these types of people would use.

But all the fancy graphics and the most beautifully created sentences in the world won’t do you a bit of good if you don’t carefully select the people on your mailing list. If you’re selling adult diapers, you want to target senior citizens…not 23-year-olds.

Tighten your mailing list as much as possible to be sure it’s tailored to your needs. It’s tough to make people believe they need your product and even harder to convince them they need it now. But if you’ve researched your list, you have a higher chance of hitting potential customers instead of the trash can.

You’ve made your list and checked it twice, so-to-speak. It’s the perfect list. Now it’s time to write. Define your objectives before you start writing. Stay focused and hit the points of your objective. If you get off track, your reader is going to stop reading.

Spend a lot of time on your headline. Just remember how you feel when reading mail that comes to you. After you read that headline, do you keep reading? The headline can make or break your direct mail campaign.

Does price really matter? Not unless you know what you’re getting for that price. Hook your reader with all of the product benefits. By the time they get to the end, they should be saying, “I can’t live without that!”

And then you let them in on the price. Even if the price is extremely low, you have to tell potential customers about the product first.

Disclosing this price shouldn’t put people into shock. Is your product priced according to the market? If you’re selling a new teddy bear, it should be priced within reason. Not many people will pay $90 for a tiny teddy bear, right? Truth is, a lot of direct mail goes unanswered because the products are unreasonably priced.

Success! Your potential customer read all the way through your mailing. Now what?

Did you tell the reader what you want them to do? You can’t sell if you don’t tell.

Your readers need a call to action. Tell them to send in the card, call you, etc. Then tell them again.

Once your direct mail is ready to go, test several smaller mailings before sending out a huge chunk. Test each of these mailings by changing a few items when you send them out.

Have two or more sales letters you test against each other. By testing, you will find out which of those mailings are bringing in more responses and - hopefully - more orders.

Stick with the clear winners. Remember the saying, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Direct mail is a waste of money for a lot of people. But it doesn’t have to be for you. Understanding direct mail deadly mistakes — and avoiding them — will lead you to sales success!

Flyers

The next offline advertising method I am going to talk about in this article is a simple flyer. These are a great way to get your website in front of a wide audience. Make 1000 copies and dedicate yourself to handing out all of them in the next 7 days. Here are just a couple of places to hand these out: around your neighbourhood or a large neighbourhood nearby, place stacks at local restaurants, dry cleaners or other places of business, or go to your local college campuses and find areas you can place your flyers.

Novelty advertising

There are loads of novelty ways to advertise. Use your imagination and be original.

Depending on the product you could have your web address printed on t-shirts and give them away to tourists. If you make them bright enough they will wear them with big smiles on they’re faces all day advertising your website

Try printing on mouse mats, pens, balls or any other novelty item. It doesn’t even always have to be related to your product to get good results although a related gimmick can work wonders.

Million Dollar Bills are another great way to advertise offline. If you haven’t heard about these before you can check them out at “http://www.milliondollarsource.com.” These can be used a number of different ways including as an attention getter, door opener, response generator, networking device, or simply to get a smile out of the recipient. I would recommend ordering a minimum of 2000 and handing them out as quickly as possible. You can even hire someone to hand them out for you if you are short on time. As strange as this may sound to some of you this method works great and is worth the cost.

Statement inserts

Even huge corporation’s send statement inserts. You’re going to send a statement to your customers anyway, why not throw in some advertisements for yourself?

This can also be done when paying bill, you think all them people sat at there desks all day don’t want nothing better from life.

You get all the advantages of direct mail without paying extra for a separate mailing. Take a look at these numbers:

Complete direct mail packages run between $200 and $600 per thousand. In contrast, statement inserts are only $6 to $15 per thousand. A huge savings for you.

You can also use statement inserts to test a new product. If your product doesn’t generate much interest, you can easily change your advertising angle. But if you’ve pumped all your ad dollars into commercials, print ads and a solo direct mail campaign without results, changing direction is much harder and more costly.

Now the bad news. You get your statement and there’s an insert for a high-ticket item inside. Chances are, you’re not going to shell out the big bucks for something knew when you’ve just received this blow to your billfold in the same envelope.

That’s why your statement insert should advertise a reasonably priced item. Save your top-dollar items for your high advertising dollars. Those big prices won’t pull in a lot of orders off a statement insert.

Be sure to watch the weight of your mailing too. You can pack a lot in a 34 cent mailing. But anything over one ounce will cost you more in postage.

You should also consider using a large statement insert. Packing your mailing full of smaller inserts may seem more logical but research indicates larger inserts have higher response rates. Three panel is most popular, followed by two panel.

If you choose to send out a single panel, pack it with information. Deliver the offer, product, copy and audience to pick up the slack in size and details.

Order forms must be easy to fill out as well.

Keeping your customers waiting for several months, even weeks will reduce your chances of that customer becoming a repeat buyer.

Consider having a customer service department solely devoted to your featured product. If someone doesn’t receive their order or has other complaints, you need a staff that will handle those concerns immediately. Handled correctly, a good CSR can turn an irate person into a satisfied customer. And that customer will tell a friend about how you solved their problem.

Get the most out of postage rates and your ad dollars with statement inserts. Who knows? Your customers might even start looking forward to receiving your bill!

Radio

A 30- or 60-second radio spot is quite a bargain. Rates vary depending on your area’s population. Even still, you can negotiate a cheaper price and receive a better rate if you buy a bulk amount of commercials.

One of the many advantages of radio is that you can target your audience. Specific age groups and lifestyles are all defined by the station’s format. Ratings also help determine this information and can help you choose the best station and time slot for your company’s commercial.

The key components of your radio commercial include your name, address, telephone number and selling message. But be sure to ask listeners to visit your site. Repeat your URL at least twice and, again, tell them what they’ll gain by visiting.

Television

Get ready to shatter the myths about television commercials. You don’t have to be a major corporation or have tons of disposable ad dollars to hit the airwaves.

Buying airtime on your local television station is actually very affordable. But for an even lower rate, check the cable TV companies in your area. Airtime is significantly lower than broadcast television ad rates.

You also have the added benefit of reaching a specific target audience. If you sell sporting goods, your ad can run on SportsSouth and ESPN for the best possible prospects. Your cable operator can even gear the commercials to a zip code or local community.

Infomercials aren’t too far behind commercials as a low-cost, traffic-building tool. Even a 15-minute infomercial can explain your products/services and promote your Web site at the same time.

Just like with print, make sure your URL is prominently displayed in your commercial and/or infomercial. Keep in mind, not everybody has a big screen TV at home and this can make a huge difference to a potential customer with a 19″ screen.

Conclusion

New technology forces us to adapt to new advertising means. But sometimes old school techniques are overlooked when, in fact, they can actually help propel business into the money-making wave of the future.

Don’t just do it once and be happy with your results, if something works keep repeating it and as you make money put more money into your venture.

Best of luck to you all.

How to Make Money Online: The Simple, Cheap Way

Posted in Pay Per Click by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

People are always asking me how I make money online. I’ve been doing it for almost 4 years now and, fortunately, haven’t had to get a “real” job yet (since graduating college). It’s definitely not easy to do, but anyone with some intelligence, creativity, and/or the willingness to do large amounts of research can make a good living on the Web. However, it’s important for newbies to start off small and cheaply. Despite what the marketing “gurus” try to tell you, you really don’t need to spend a lot of money on ebooks and software to begin earning a nice income on the internet.

Anyway, here’s an easy and cheap way to create an online revenue stream that I developed for my friends:

1. Choose a profitable topic/theme - There are several ways to do this but one of the easiest is to use Overture’s free bid tool (Tip: It’s always best to choose a topic you know something about…. or at least are very interested in.)

2. Setup a blog - You can use a free one such as Blogger.com or MSN Spaces. This will become your main “site” since it’s really just a way to easily publish content.

3. Start writing high-quality, focused 400-700 word articles DAILY! - This is probably the most important thing you can do for long-term success. You can also use syndicated articles from article directories to “beef up” your site but don’t rely on it. Make sure all articles are based around your site’s central theme.

4. Post your theme-based content to your site/blog on a regular basis - Try to post at least one or two good articles per day.

5. Monetize your blog - Put related affiliate links and Google Adsense on your blog to start making some money.

6. Write and submit good articles to the online article directories - This will get you some free one-way links (great for search engine rankings), increase your site traffic, and help to establish your credibility.

7. Get a low-cost autoresponder and start collecting the email addresses of your site visitors - Offer a useful free report or email mini-course to entice people to sign up.

8. Send out a weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly newsletter with useful information and a couple affiliate links - If you “nurture” your subscriber list well it can quickly turn into your biggest moneymaker!

9. Continue to drive traffic to your site - Submit your blog’s RSS feed to feed directories, submit your main page and/or a few good internal pages to general web directories and theme directories (DMOZ.org is the most important), and trade links with good sites that have related themes.

Well, that’s just the beginning! But it’s a great way to get started making money online. In the future I may post an “extended” version of this list with much more detail but I hope this basic list helps you out!

How to get 50 High PR One Way Links Each Month

Posted in Make Money with Online Surveys by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

by: John Gergye

It’s easy. So easy it’s almost criminal. But I can get one-way High PR links whenever I want.

How?

Come closer. Let me whisper in your ear.

It involves articles, the google toolbar and a tracking sheet.

That’s it’s. Because there’s really nothing to getting high PR one way links.

====> Two Must Finds

All you do is find sites to post your articles on that do a good job of directing pagerank (PR) to their articles pages. Sadly many do not.

Others may but they don’t include that coveted live link from your article.

This just means you’ll have to look a little harder. Since the crown jewel in your search for sites to submit articles to is to find those with other articles that show lives links. And the pages they’re on sport at least PR 3 or higher.

Here’s why this is so powerful. You’ll typically get the lion’s share of that PR. Since unlike a links page, quite often the only external link is to the author’s web site.

Just think. While others are thrashing around trading links, you’re quietly developing high search rankings by simply submitting articles. Nifty seo twist on the idea of article marketing isn’t it?

====> Your Tracking Sheet

Setting up your tracking sheet is simple too. You want at least three headings including website URL, PR, Live Link.

What goes in the first should be obvious.

Jot down the PR of the article pages themselves in the second.

The third you simply note “Y” for yes if there is a live link from the article’s resource box back to the author’s web site. Or “N” for no if there is not.

Now for the tedious part - finding sites to host your articles.

Typically article banks, directories and the like are NOT going to be your best bet. Sorry. I’m not saying you shouldn’t submit articles to them as part of an overall article marketing scheme. Just don’t do so in the hopes of snapping up many high PR one way links is all.

Instead you want to use Google to help you find individual web sites that post articles. There are many ways to find them. Let me share one.

====> One Way to Find Sites to Submit to

Simply search on your “target keyword phrase + articles”. And don’t forget the quotes. Doing so tells Google to return all pages with both the keyword phrase and the word articles on them. This should return a healthy list of sites in that keyword niche that host articles.

Now you want to do this search in Internet Explorer with the Google toolbar turned on.

At each site visit a few article pages that have been around for awhile. (Sometimes sites will show the date posted. Other times you just have to kinda guess which might have been there longer.) Keep an eye on the PR of those pages. Checking out three or four such pages should give you an idea of the PR potential. Note the highest PR you find on your tracking sheet.

Also take note if the links in the resource box are live or not.

Once you run through the first list try another focus keyword. Or try a related niche. Just be aware you’ll start to see peats and repeats.

Still don’t stop until you’ve got a nice starter list of 25-30 sites that have higher PR and a live link back.

After you’ve got your list write the best, most informative, helpful article you can. No self promotion. No affiliate links. No hype whatsoever.

Then have at it. Submit it to the list you just developed.

If you’ve got a better than average article you can expect at least 10 or maybe even 15 out of 30 sites to post it. And you’re on your way. Just like that you’ve got 10-15 higher PR one way links. Which is probably more than most of your competitors have. And that’s just one article.

That’s right. Once you’ve got one article in motion, look for more sites. Write another high quality article. Submit it first to those who posted your previous article. They should be your favored class and get first crack at your new one. Then submit it to the rest.

Pretty simple isn’t it? Yet this pretty much lays out how I get 50+ high PR one way links each month. Now you can too.

“Web Content Management System fr Window”: Search Engine Typos

Posted in Make Money with Online Surveys by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

by: Joe Miller

Oops! I meant “web content management system for windows.” Do search engines understanding consumer search engine typos? Typing something so close to what you are looking for, like typing “web content management system fr window” instead of “web content management system for windows” may not seem like a big deal, but search engine bloopers alter consumer searches more than we know.

The phrase used in the title, “web content management system fr window” is a real-life example of a common search engine typo. In fact, within that phrase, the “o” and the “s” are missed so often that search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN have recorded the phrase “web content management system fr window” as searched about 481 times on a monthly average.

You might ask how this affects your search engine searches. Well, let us use the same phrase for an example. Typing the phrase you are looking for, “web content management system for windows,” yields about 29.6 million indexed pages in Google, 14.7 million in Yahoo, and 2.3 million in MSN. However, the typo “web content management system fr window,” only slightly different from what you really meant to type, yields drastically different results: 654 thousand indexed pages in Google, 131 thousand in Yahoo, and 56.5 thousand in MSN.

That doesn’t seem so bad. Who doesn’t want to narrow down the search? The problem is that the number of indexed pages is not the only difference with search engine typos; the poor search engines are trying to find the most relevant pages they can to the misspelled search, but it may not find what you need. On the one hand, you have tens of millions of relevant pages with a correct search; on the other hand, you have hundreds of thousands of semi-relevant pages. Which would you rather have?

Search engine typos are very common, but they do alter the relevance of your results.

Paid Online Surveys - An Easy Way To Make Money At Home

Posted in Make Money with Online Surveys by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

by: Elaine Currie

Copyright 2005 Elaine Currie

Doing paid online surveys is a very easy way to make money at home. I’d rank this occupation as second in simplicity only to getting paid to autosurf - there simply cannot be anything easier than logging into a website and allowing advertisers’ websites to scroll across your computer screen - doing paid online surveys does take a little more effort but not too much and it is an enjoyable pastime.

I discovered paid online surveys by accident. I was actually using the Internet to search for a job and I had the idea of looking for work at home opportunities. It all seems a bit unreal when I look back - was there really a time when I didn’t know you could get paid for doing online surveys? In those days, the only surveys I knew about were the ones I occasionally received in the post and which would promise entry into a prize draw as a reward for taking the time to complete the survey. I never did win a prize but I built up quite a collection of free pens. Now I take it for granted that email invitations to take part in paid online surveys will turn up in my mailbox on a daily basis and (the important bit) that I will get paid for completing the surveys.

One great thing about paid online surveys is the fact that you don’t need any special skills to take part. As long as you have an Internet linked computer and an opinion, you are qualified. There are no right or wrong answers when it comes to surveys, the companies want to hear what you think, they don’t want to test your knowledge. Most questions will permit you to answer “don’t know” or “not sure”. Sometimes, you will be given multiple choices and asked to pick the closest to your viewpoint. The best survey companies without fail, try to make it easy for you to give meaningful answers.

Another great thing is that you can complete your paid online surveys at your leisure. When the invitation is sent to you, it will normally state a deadline for closure of the survey and, as long as you respond before the deadline, it does not matter when you complete the survey. As the majority of paid online surveys can be completed in 5-15 minutes, it is very easy to slot them here and there into your daily routine. You can easily do a short survey or two while you drink your morning coffee but, if you prefer, you can save up all your survey invitations and do them at midnight.

All sorts of companies, all over the world are spending a small fortune every year on advertising their products and services. In order to advertise as effectively as possible, these companies invest heavily in market research programmes to help them target their advertising. Market researchers also investigate what people might like or dislike about various products which are still in prelaunch.

Paid online surveys will quite often include a question about whether you would be prepared to test a sample of a product from their client. I’ve received free samples of a variety of things from chocolate, to facial soap to detergent tablets. These free samples are worth having because they are generous in quantity: they aren’t the mini free sample sizes you see given away in shops. I was quite surprised when I received a full size box of detergent tablets through the post. The fact that it was a new variety of my preferred brand was an added bonus, I only wish I could get to test chocolate more often.

Paid online survey companies make payment to their members by a variety of methods. Some pay instantly via PayPal, some by cheque, some with Amazon gift vouchers, some have a points system where you earn points which you save up and later trade in for products of your choice or for cash. There will also be some surveys where the reward will be entry into a draw for a large prize.

Generally speaking, the cash payments for taking part in paid online surveys are quite small but, as each survey takes only a short time to complete, you can do several each day and build up a steady income. If you want to earn a decent amount of money, you won’t do it by just joining a couple of paid online survey companies you need to sign up with a large number of them. The easiest way to do this is by joining one or more paid online survey database companies. For payment of a small one off fee, you will get access to a database of reputable paid online survey companies. Your membership will include regular industry updates and notification of any new additions to the online paid survey company database.

Another advantage of joining paid online survey companies by paying for access to a database, is that you will avoid the scam companies who are just out to harvest your details which they will then sell to anyone willing to pay. If you do a Google search for online paid surveys, you will undoubtedly notice many websites which offer a free list of survey companies and which advise that you should not pay to join a database when you can join free through their website. The owners of these websites are not philanthropists, they are affiliates for each company they list and they receive commission if you sign up through their link. They don’t care how much junk mail you will get!

I made the mistake of signing up to some paid online survey companies through a couple of these websites and I very soon noticed an increase in junk mail, unsolicited marketing phone calls and emails. I also noticed the poor quality of some of the “surveys” I was invited to complete. The worst company would regularly email me a message claiming they wanted me to take part in a $50 survey on movies. I answered pages of questions about my taste in cars, holiday destinations and various other unconnected subjects. Eventually, I would be informed that I was not suitable for the $50 movie survey. All I got for answering all those questions was mail and phone calls from people who seemed to think I wanted to buy a Mercedes, go on a cruise and buy all sorts of mobile phones.

If you are looking for an easy way to make money at home, I recommend paid online surveys as an excellent place to start but beware of the scammers. The small fee (which you can soon earn back) for access to a reputable database is well worthwhile both in terms of getting paid and in avoiding the nuisance of junk mail.

Can you use hynotic like statements to sell more products?

Posted in Make Money by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

by: Jeff Schuman

As I become more successful with my internet business I have become interested in ways to move my business to the next level.

Besides pumping more money into advertising it occured to me that increasing my closing percentage on my websites to the visitors I am getting would be a free way to make more money without spending more money to do it.

Writing better copy in my ads and on my websites itself surely would help me reach this goal.

I know in off-line sales that it is not only what you say, but how you say it. To achieve the same results without the benefit of voice inflection will require getting my prospective customer into an almost hypnotic state of mind.

First let’s define what an hypnotic state of mind is.

“A trance like state in which a person responds readily to suggestions. Attracting and holding an interest as if by a spell.”

O.K. But how do I do that?

If you can tell your readers what they are probably thinking, feeling or doing as they read your ad copy their thoughts will usually trigger their own subconscious mind to bring out these feelings or actions.

O.K. How do you do that?

One way is to add hypnotic sentences into any ad copy. You may have to change one or two words so it relates more to the product or service you’re selling.

Here are 10 hypnotic like sentences that you can use to get your prospect more into a buying mood.

If after reading these you feel the urge to go and buy something check out my make money at home website Team-Schuman.Com here:
http://www.team-schuman.com

Just kidding. O.K. here are the 10 hypnotic sentences.

1. As you’re scanning over this ad copy, you are beginning to imagine using our product and enjoying all the benefits it brings.

2. After you read this short ad you will feel like your problems are almost completely solved, all you will have to do is order.

3. As you’re skimming through this, you’re beginning to think you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by trying out our product.

4. The more you understand just how valuable our product could be to your life, the less you think about delaying this important purchase.

5. As you keep reading this ad copy you are feeling more and more compelled to experience all the benefits of our product.

6. As every word you read on our website you start to understand just how much our product could benefit your life.

7. The more you keep reading the more you feel it would be a waste to let this opportunity slip by.

8. You don’t know it yet but, at the conclusion of this ad, you will feel driven to order and experience all the benefits of our product.

9. The more you review our website the more you begin to find yourself getting very excited about our product and starting to feel the urge to buy now.

10. You don’t realize it yet but, in a few short minutes you’ll realize that you can’t put off this vital purchase and then you’ll be yanking out your credit card.

Does this stuff actually work? The only way to know for sure is to give it a try in your ad copy and on your website pages.

If people really do start breaking out their credit card more often or even a few extra times then it is worth the effort to learn how to use hypnotic sentences to sell more of your products.

The question I am asked the most is, “How can I create additional income streams if I don’t have any money to get started?” This article is going to teach you exactly that - how to create additional income streams using the Internet - without requiring any money to get started…

If you search for Work-at-Home or Make Money Online, you will have literally millions of websites to visit that promise you the next best way to get rich… for a fee…

You can spend hundreds of dollars researching all of the business opportunities on the Internet. But more times than not, the money you spend only supplies information on everything else you need to buy to get started.

Well have no fear! I am going to show you some of the secrets I use to creating income streams with no money down!

I realize that a lot of you are living paycheck to paycheck. Everything coming in, quickly goes right back out. My intention of writing this article is to help you break out of this cycle with Affiliate Programs.

What are Affiliate Programs?

Affiliate Programs are used to promote a product or service through a cost-per-action advertising model. Simply put, website owners will pay you a commission for every person you send to their website that either buys their product or service, or perform some other type of action such as filling out a survey…

Amazon.com built a huge following by utilizing Affiliate Programs. A website owner simply put a unique link on their website that Amazon.com provided them. Every time someone clicked on their unique link and ordered a book, the website owner would be paid a commission - usually a percentage of sales.

Banner ads or text ads are used to drive the traffic to the affiliate website. For example, one website might say “Click here to order Sean’s Latest Book.” When someone clicks on the link, it will go to exactly where they can order the book at Amazon.com.

High traffic websites benefit greatly by this business model since they can drive a lot of people to the affiliate websites which results in a lot of commissions being earned.

But what if I don’t have a website?!

I know, you don’t have a website, right? Or maybe you do, but you don’t get a lot of traffic? I have good news…

BLOGS = FREE TRAFFIC

Over the last couple years, a new type of website has come onto the scene. They are called BLOGS. A blog is like a personal diary of articles that you post that people can read and comment on.

A couple examples:
http://fortunedreams.blogspot.com
http://ulosefast.blogspot.com

You can use a BLOG to drive visitors to affiliate links without having to have a website. If you look at the fortunedreams blog above, you will notice that at the end of every article is a link that says “Click here for FREE Information on Working at Home-FortuneDreams.com”

If you click on that link, it will go to an affiliate link which redirects you to a free survey to fill out.

For every person that completes that free survey, I get paid $2.25. Not too bad, eh?

So How Do I Do It?

Step 1: Open a free affiliate account. Go to http://www.magmoney.com and join the affiliate program there. This affiliate program will allow you to earn $2.25 for every free survey completed.

Step 2: Login to your affiliate account. At the top of the screen, you will see some TABS. Click on the tab that says “CREATE YOUR LINKS.” Then click on the link that says “CLICK HERE To get banner and text link code to advertise our three different websites.”

The first website listed will allow you to refer other people to join the MagMoney Affiliate Program. For every person that signs up through your link, you will get paid 75 cents for every person THEY get to complete a free survey. (You might not want to promote this one until later - when you have a friend that wants to do what you are doing… You can then get paid on their efforts!)

The second website listed will allow you to send traffic to a weight loss website. If you want to create a blog about weight loss, then you will want to use this for your affiliate link.

The third website listed will allow you to send traffic to a Work at Home website. If you want to create a blog about Working at Home, then you will want to use this for your affiliate link.

Step 3: Decide which website you want to promote from Step #2, and click on the CLICK HERE that is next to it to create your unique affiliate link.

Once you do that, you will get a list with your unique affiliate link along with about 10 banner ads. Disregard the banner ads since we will not be using them on the Blog.

Step 4: Write down the affiliate link that is listed under the heading “Basic Affiliate Url:”.

If you are doing a weight loss blog, your link would look something like this:

http://www.mailorderwork.com/gl/g.o/USERNAME/http://www.ulosefast.com

(Except all on one line.)

Step 5: Go to http://www.Blogger.com and create a free Blog account.

Step 6: Go ahead and create your first blog, whether it is for Work at Home or Weight Loss.

Step 7: Post articles to your Blog with your affiliate link posted at the end of every article you post. (Refer back to http://fortunedreams.blogspot.com to get an idea of what to post.)

Do the same thing I did with the “Click here for FREE Information on Working at Home-FortuneDreams.com” But make sure you link it back to YOUR unique affiliate link that you wrote down from Step #4.

Where Do I Find Articles?

The easiest way would be to simply copy them from one of my blogs listed in the examples above. Or visit one of the free article websites such as http://www.SubmitYourArticle.com . There are literally thousands of articles for the taking. You will want to search for articles that fit the topic of the link you are promoting.

For example, if you are promoting the Work at Home link, you would want articles pertaining to Work at Home.

Step 8: Promote your Blog! There are hundreds of Blog Directories and RSS Directories that you can submit to that are free of charge. When you create a blog at http://www.Blogger.com, you also get a free RSS feed of your Blog. You simply add /atom.xml to the end of your Blog.

For example:
The blog http://fortunedreams.blogspot.com/ would be http://fortunedreams.blogspot.com/atom.xml as an RSS feed.

This allows you to submit it to all the RSS and Blog Directories that you can find…

Step 9: VERY IMPORTANT: After EVERY article that you post to your blog, go to http://www.pingomatic.com and submit your blog. Click on ALL the Services to Ping and then submit pings.

This tells many of the popular Blog directories that you have a new article posted. The more articles you post, the higher your ranking (and the more traffic they will send you!)

So be sure to do this after every article you post.

Step 10: Post new articles on your Blog several times a day. Try to post at least a dozen or more new articles on a daily basis to achieve the best results.

So there you have it! A completely, absolutely free way to start generating income with the Internet from the comfort of your own home…

Of course you can repeat the process over and over again creating as many blogs as you want. You can also use this method with any of the hundreds of other affiliate programs on the Internet.

Utilizing this method, you should be able to build up an extra income from several hundred dollars a month to several thousand - depending on how hard you work at it.

Now that you are earning a little bit of pocket money, put $250 aside for a special opportunity to turn it into hundreds of thousands of dollars with the ultimate leverage!

I’ll tell you all about it in my next article about my favorite Business Model - Network Marketing…

Good luck and God bless!

Can You Really “Strike Gold” Online?

I guess human nature leads us to this about every 30 - 50 years.

As a history major, I studied the gold rush of 1849, the 19th century oil booms, the stock market hustles of the late 1920’s, the get rich-quick mail order schemes of the 1950’s and 60’s and now the “Internet” gold rush of the late 1990’s and early 21st century.

When people perceive someone else getting rich with little or no effort, they jump on the band wagon seeking fame and fortune.

In reality, in any “gold rush,” the ones who really get rich represent the exception.

Unfortunately, people perceive those “exceptions” as the rule, rather than the special cases they actually represent.

But, if you’re bound and determined that you can be one of the “chosen few” who get rich online, the following tips will save you years of frustration.

** Little Oil Wells **

Don’t try to get rich online with one gold or oil “strike!”

Most people I know who do very well online operate multiple websites targeting multiple niche markets.

They sell many products and make their money by creating multiple streams of income rather than depending on a single website to stake their claim for online riches.

** Solve Problems **

People go online to solve problems.

Whether they need to improve their job interview skills or find a winter coat and hat for their Chihuahua, they want to find products or knowledge they don’t currently possess.

The more pressing the problem, the easier and faster these people will buy.

The easiest way to make a fortune online involves finding the most severe problems you can and charging for the solutions.

** Sweat, Not Money **

Most people want to throw money at a problem and hope that will get them what they desire.

This fact keeps the “get-rich-quick” schemers in business.

However, the best way to make money online involves getting your hands dirty, learning a market inside and out, discovering what they want to buy and why, and then selling it to them.

Contrary to popular belief, throwing money at a problem often won’t solve it.

** Don’t Compete **

The fastest way to make a fortune online involves persuading other people to sell your product or service for you as an affiliate.

However, nobody sells a product or service for someone they perceive as “competition.”

You must position your product or service in such a way that others will eagerly promote it for you because they see you as someone who complements what they already offer.

** Wants vs. Needs **

Circus and publicity guru, P.T. Barnum, expressed it best, “People will spend their last nickel to have fun!”

People always find a way to buy what they want, but often avoid spending on what they need.

** The Underwear Myth **

The “make money in your underwear at the kitchen table working only 1 or 2 hours a day” represents the biggest crock of !@#$% ever foisted on the public.

Anyone I know who makes a lot of money at anything, busts their buns to get their projects off the ground.

Once they get a business up and running, it might only take a couple of hours a day or week to keep it running, but they worked their fingers to the bone to get things rolling.

And the real secret to their success: they repeat the process over and over again!

How to write a killer sales letter.

I sit down and look at my notebook. Then, I put myself
into the ‘zone’.

That’s how I start to write web copy that sells.

Whether you agree with me or not, your web copy will
determine whether your product’s going to sell online
or not.

Simple reason. In an offline sales pitch or
presentation, you get to interact with your prospect.
You get to touch him. He gets to see you personally.

But not online. No, no, no. It all depends on the
words on your site. See how powerful words are?

I’m not saying I’m a guru at web copy. There are many
other copywriters who are far better than me. Many. But
I’ve written my own web copy and it’s selling. And at
the same time, I’ve been hired to write for others.

Keep on reading on how I write killer web copy and
you can pick up any of the tips.

The first part to write a copy, you MUST be in the
‘zone’.

What the heck is the ‘zone’? The ‘zone’ is like… the
mood. You see, writing a great copy is like an artist
painting a beautiful picture. When you are in the
‘zone’, your hand can’t stop typing and your mind
keeps on coming up with amazing ideas to write.

Like, I’m in the ‘zone’ when I write this article.

How to be in the ‘zone’? I’m not sure how you can
achieve that, but for me, I put in a lot of passion to
write a killer copy and I look into the future to see how
this copy will sell like crazy.

That’s how I get into the ‘zone’.

Once you are in the zone, keep on writing. Don’t stop.
Even though, you know you are writing wrong grammar or
putting in weird ideas. Just keep on writing.

Then, after it’s finished, read it all over again.
This time, you’ll pick up the mistakes and you’ll add
in more ideas. Continue doing this until you are
satisfied with your work. Finally, edit your work.

When you start your copy, your headline is one of the
most important parts of the copy.

Some copy writers write tons of headlines before they
start. For me, I’ll write about 5 headlines and read
it over several times. Then, I’ll pick the best and fine
tune it at least 5-10 times before I decide to use it.

One more part of writing copy; don’t feel bad
‘borrowing’ some ideas from successful copy you’ve
seen.

Get a swipe file of the best copy you can find.

And the last thing you need to keep in mind when
writing a killer copy is this:

“What’s the end result the reader will get if they buy
from you?”

Your copy MUST sell hope and benefits to the reader
if you want them to buy anything after reading your
copy.

Now go write your killer copy.

All the best.

Formula To Achieve Success Online.

Posted in Make Money by nicr on the October 22nd, 2007

I’m writing this article because I thought you
might want to know my formula for success
for my online business.

This sounds very simple and yet, it might
change your whole mindset. It applies when
you are building your own online business.

Throughout my journey to achieve success,
I’ve encountered many people who struggled
to achieve success online. Most of them ask
me questions like, ‘how to achieve success’.

Or questions like, ‘how to make more money
from the internet’.

What’s the formula to achieve online success?

Ok, read on and I’ll reveal it.

The formula is simple. When you are working,
you must have in mind that ultimately what
you want to achieve from your online business
is this:

Work less, earn more.

But first, you must understand this formula
in order to achieve that.

Here’s the formula:

Assuming you are working 8 hours a day,
and you are getting X result (X can be any
amount of money you are getting now.)

Where most people failed to achieve
success is, they try to earn X + Y (Y can
be any amount of extra money you want
to get) without finding a way to work
less first. In another words, finding a way
to work less while still getting X result.

In order for you to get Y result, you should
find ways to work less than 8 hours first and
still be getting X result. Let’s say 6 hours.

Once you able to achieve that, only then can
you consider how to find ways to get Y result.

In a nutshell,

First step:

Work 8 hours (or whatever your existing working
hours are) and get X result.

Second step:

Find ways to work 6 hours and still get
X result.

Third step:

Work 8 hours again but get X + Y results.

Once you achieve this, your next step is to find
ways on how to achieve X + Y results by working
only 6 hours instead of 8 hours. Once you find
that, only than you can think about getting
Z result (Z can be any amount of extra money
you want to have).

So, repeat the whole process:

First step:

Work 8 hours get X + Y results.

Second step:

Find ways to work 6 hours and still get
X + Y results.

Third step:

Work 8 hours again but get X + Y + Z results.

Keep on repeating this process until you get
the maximum results you can get (this can be
A+B+C+X+Y+Z).

At some stage, you’ll probably reach the optimum
of getting the results and you can hardly earn more
by working 8 hours a day.

Once you achieve this, congratulations.

Now, what you need to do is to find ways
to WORK LESS but still get the same results.

So at the end, you’ll be able to WORK LESS
And EARN MORE.

People fail to achieve online success because
they don’t know or understand this simple
formula and practice it!

This formula stressed managing your fundamentals
before engaging yourself to earn more. People failed
to achieve more results because they try to earn
more without learning how to maintain and work
less first. So, they’ll end up working more hours
each day.

That’s why, you can see many people becoming
more stressed when their business increases.

I’ve been practicing this formula. Each day when
I work, I’ll look into my existing business and
find ways to reduce the work. Once I got that,
only then I’ll think on how to make more money.

So, each month, I’m making more money
but working less or putting the same amount
of time invested. This is how you can achieve
success without getting more stress in life.

What you should be doing now is go look at your
job or business and apply this formula if
you want to achieve success in the long term.
